Good afternoon Members
We recognised the shortest day this week so we are now down hill into Summer.
As the weather starts to improve it is a good time to get those lessons you have been talking about and also the new equipment and gear you have promised yourself.
The Golf Shop at PGC is fully operational, owned and run by your golf club.
New stock is arriving daily as we get ready for our upcoming move to Wainui. We have access to a large range of apparel and hardware and will continue to grow our selection. We guarantee we will be competitive on price and offer you professional after sales service. If you need any golf related product please ask your club first.
As we build our team of professional staff we will offer unparalleled product knowledge and friendly professional service.
Saturday 25th June - The Pro Shop and Golf Committee have put together a Christmas Themed scramble for our Mid Winter Christmas Day - Scramble is $10.00 plus 2's and prizes have already been purchased. Mulled Wine will be available from the Bar and you may well hear the odd Christmas Carol or two. Gill has installed the Christmas tree to make the lounge that little bit more festive for your enjoyment. There are still a few slots on the start sheet - phone the Pro shop or go online to put your name down. If you stay around for prize giving then chances are you will be around for the Members draw.
Speaking of the Members Draw - last week Leonard O'Connor's name was drawn out - Leonard was not in the lounge so we have a jackpot situation and the draw stands at $750.00 this weekend. Remember you need to be in the lounge to be in to win. If the draw doesn't go this weekend it goes to $800.00 and it must be won next weekend.
Congratulations to Kit Bittle who has played so well in his last few tournaments away - all Katie Pryce-Jones and James Hydes have also been up there - thanks to everyone representing Peninsula Golf Club - all the time and effort you put into your game is certainly paying off.
Some of you hibernate during the Winter months, whatever you do I hope you enjoy it. Remember our Cafe and Bar facilities are open all year round. Bring your friends along for a bite to eat and a coffee or a drink.
Wishing you all good golfing and a great weekend
Cheers
Karen
