Good afternoon Members

Another great week at Peninsula with many of you out playing competitions or just enjoying a social game. We hosted a group from Northland Golf Club on Wednesday and a great time was had by all – our 9 Hole Women managed to secure the trophy and are looking forward to holding on to it until they travel to Northland next year to compete to retain it.

Easter Tournament – This coming Saturday Mike and his team have set up an Easter Scramble – the scramble will cost you $10.00 and there are some great prizes to be won. Members who would like to introduce guests to this tournament the Easter Bunny has given us a special deal of $40.00 including green fee and scramble.  Who knows, the Easter Bunny may make an appearance, or at least leave you all some goodies on the day.

Easter Bar and Cafe trading hours: Due to our Bar License restrictions, the Bar and Cafe will not be open on Good Friday and Easter Sunday. The Golf Course will be open for play and Mike’s team will be only too happy to help you get out there to play your game.

New members –welcome to all of the new Members of Peninsula Golf Club. We hope you will enjoy the course, facilities and social activities at Peninsula Golf Club and continue to do so when the move is made to Wainui.

60th Anniversary – April sees the 60th Anniversary of the Peninsula Golf Club. We will be holding a mix and mingle on the afternoon of Sunday 17th April from 1:00pm. If you wish to attend please see the details on the attached form and email it to us as soon as possible as numbers will be limited and entry will be by ticket only. If you know of any past members who may wish to attend please pass the details on to them also.

Some more good results from our Pennant teams this past weekend. Well done to all of you – we know you represent Peninsula Golf Club with pride and appreciate your commitment.

Good luck at all of our players playing elsewhere this week – Katie Pryce-Jones is playing in the NZ South Island Women’s Stroke Play – we wish Katie well and hope she enjoys the event.

To those of you travelling over the Easter weekend, please be careful out there – have a happy and safe time with your friends and families.

Take care and good golfing

Cheers Karen
