Good afternoon Members

A fabulous day here at Peninsula Golf Club. One thing I have noticed is the people teeing off are all laughing, chatting and happy, the sunshine seems to do that to people. I hope by the end of their game, in the bar having some refreshments and reminiscing, they are still in that same frame of mind.

Twilight golf tonight – a lovely afternoon to be out on the course playing in the MetLife Care Twilight series. If you play in 6 or more Twilight events you go in the draw to win some fantastic prizes at the end of the season – there is still time to get those 6 games in to qualify.

Membership draw – last week Peter Hart’s name was drawn out – Peter is one of our new members and was not in the club house – the draw jackpots to $300 this week. Be in the club house at 6:00pm on Saturday to see if you are the winner this week.

Pennant teams – Good Luck to all of our teams wherever they are playing this week. We are proud of you and the way you represent Peninsula Golf Club.

Golf Programmes – the 2016 PGC Golf Programme has arrived and can be collected from the Starters office. There are also some Passports still to be collected, so if you haven’t got yours check the box in the Starters office.

Mike Duncumb has settled into the Pro Shop well and stock is starting to arrive. Mike and Tom are only too happy to cater for your needs, have a chat to them and see what they can do for you.

Tee times – in the interest of assisting with pace of play, please let the Starters office know if you are unable to play in your allocated tee time. This allows staff to move people into groups of four as well as include people who may be on waiting lists.

New members – we have had a few members join us here at Peninsula recently , please make these members feel welcome when you meet them, whether it is on the course or in the lounge and other areas of the club.

Great golfing and have a good weekend

Cheers - Karen
