Competition Format

Stableford Competition will be a weekly tournament in handicap divisions for men and women. Also included will be a Non-Handicap division. A second women’s division will only apply if numbers allow. Although juniors may play, there will be no specific junior divisions.

Ambrose Competition. Once a month we shall have an Ambrose event. This will be played in teams of four players and team prizes will be awarded for best stableford scores. All four players’ handicaps are added together and then divided by 8. The aggregate handicap is then rounded up as appropriate. One score card per team, no individual scores recorded and no need to play within handicap divisions.

Match Play Championship. We are looking for a Twilight Men’s and Women’s Champion. In the 1st half of the season we will designate 3 nights to qualifying for the top eight play-off positions. The best 2 of 3 stableford scores will count. During Jan-Mar we will designate match play nights and advertise a seeded draw.

A Ringer's Competition will be run on 6 designated nights and you will be responsible for recording your own gross score. You may change only these on any of the designated nights. The winners will be the best net scores using your handicap as at 12th March. Yes you can enter both nines.

Stableford Aggregate No aggregate this year but we are considering a shootout competition

Count backs will be conducted using the NZGA recommended procedure.
